Comeragh Mountains
It took millions of years for nature to lay down the Comeragh Mountains; thousands of years for ice to carve the valleys and the lakes, for hundreds of years man has lived and worked in the valley, for a weekend you can enjoy what nature has designed.
The Comeragh Mountains are one of the great mountain ranges of Ireland. With over thirteen corrie lakes in the range and enjoyable vistas covering the South-east of Ireland, the Comeragh Mountains offer a variety of walks for all. The walking/hiking club will find plenty of challenges; take in a route which would take you over Crottys Lake on to the breathtaking Coumshingaun and back down to the Nire Valley. Maybe you would prefer to explore the lower levels; green roads and woodlands abound at low level for the more leisurely walker or family.
